I did this portrait of Raven at figure drawing group at Argos Gallery this morning. I sketched in proportions lightly in pencil, then switched to pen and then to watercolor. I tried to get a range of tones to create three dimensional form. I began with the lightest tones and kept on working to darken and strengthen areas.

I did this today at Argos Studio. I began with pen, with no preparatory pecil sketch. I tried to work slowly and carefully so I would not harden in incorrect shapes.
